"When sound is done right, your audience stops noticing it — and starts feeling it."
— Sammy Hurley

My Background
I've spent the last decade doing one thing: making sound disappear into stories.
My background is in professional theatre sound design — ten years of building worlds out of audio, crafting the rumble under a scene, the silence before a revelation, the music that makes an audience forget they're sitting in a chair watching people act. When it works, they're just inside the story. That's what I've always chased.
For the past eight years, I've also worked as a professional DJ — which sounds like a different world, but it isn't. Both disciplines are about reading a room, holding attention, and understanding that sound shapes how people feel without them ever realizing it.
That same instinct is what I bring to podcasts, agencies, and content teams. Most clients don't want to think about audio. They just want their work to land the way it's supposed to. My job is to make sure it does — consistently, reliably, and without you having to manage it.
What Makes Hurley Audio Different
Most audio services focus on individual projects. Hurley Audio focuses on continuity.
That means:
-
No re-explaining your workflow every time
-
No wondering who’s responsible for sound quality
-
No last-minute fixes or inconsistent results
I work as a long-term audio partner—someone who understands your content, your standards, and your deadlines.

How I Work
Hurley Audio operates on a monthly support model.
Clients reserve a set amount of time each month for audio editing, cleanup, sound design, and delivery support. This approach allows for:
-
Predictable timelines
-
Predictable costs
-
Faster turnaround
-
Less stress for your team
It’s audio support that fits into how modern teams actually work.
Who I Work With
I partner with:
-
Sponsored podcasts and podcast networks
-
Marketing and content agencies
-
Nonprofits and educational organizations
-
Teams producing recurring audio or video content
If you publish regularly and want your audio handled professionally without micromanaging the process, we’re likely a good fit.
