Web Accessibility at Hurley Audio

At Hurley Audio, we are dedicated to making our website accessible to everyone. We believe that all individuals, including those with disabilities, should have the same opportunities to access and enjoy the content on our site.

Our Approach to Web Accessibility

Web accessibility is about ensuring that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the web. We are committed to following the latest WCAG guidelines and have implemented various measures to enhance the accessibility of our site.

Accessibility Features on Hurley Audio

Hurley Audio conforms to the WCAG [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] guidelines, ensuring that our site is accessible to the level of [A / AA / AAA - select relevant option]. We have incorporated features to facilitate navigation for individuals using assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.

As part of our commitment to accessibility, we have implemented various enhancements, including clear heading structures, alternative text for images, and color combinations that meet required contrast ratios. Additionally, we have made all videos, audio, and files on our site accessible to ensure a comprehensive browsing experience for all users.

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

Hurley Audio acknowledges that certain pages on our site may be affected by third-party content. In such cases, we declare partial compliance with the accessibility standard for those specific pages.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Accessibility

Hurley Audio is committed to making audio content as clear, consistent, and accessible as possible for a wide range of listeners. Accessibility is not a one-time task, but an ongoing practice that informs how I approach sound, workflow, and collaboration. Clear audio matters. Thoughtful production choices—such as balanced levels, reduced background noise, and consistent loudness—help ensure content can be more easily understood by listeners with varying hearing abilities, listening environments, and access needs.

In my work, I aim to support accessibility by:

  • Prioritizing clarity, intelligibility, and consistency in all audio deliverables

  • Following industry-standard loudness and quality practices where appropriate

  • Designing workflows that integrate clean handoffs for captions, transcripts, and downstream accessibility tools when requested

  • Collaborating with clients to understand audience needs and production constraints

  • Remaining open to feedback and adjustments that improve the listening experience

While not every project has the same scope or requirements, accessibility is considered throughout the production process. When possible, I work with clients to identify practical steps that can improve accessibility without disrupting timelines or workflows.

Hurley Audio recognizes that accessibility standards and best practices continue to evolve. I am committed to learning, adapting, and improving over time to better support inclusive audio experiences.

If you have specific accessibility needs, questions, or requests related to a project, I welcome the conversation and will do my best to accommodate them within the scope of our work.
